Communicating Historic England's Vision
Historic England is the public body dedicated to helping people care for, enjoy, and celebrate England’s remarkable historic environment.
As part of a significant strategic evolution, Historic England developed six key strategic pillars to outline their priorities moving forward. They approached us to create an engaging animation that would effectively communicate these pillars to their staff and team members, ensuring alignment and clarity as they embark on this exciting new chapter.
Client brief:
With limited time to artwork content and knowing we’d have access to a bank of imagery from the Historic England team, we chose a collage approach that allowed us to create a hands-on, dynamic look and feel. This approach also gave us the flexibility to work creatively with the available imagery, blending it seamlessly into the animation.
Although we needed to capture footage from a few relevant events, budget and circumstances didn’t allow for live action or location-based creative direction. Instead, we opted to shoot with a stills camera in a low-fi, organic style, capturing moments at 10 frames per second. This approach let us embrace the natural flow of the day, producing authentic imagery that enhanced the overall narrative.
